On an aspect of Liberty

A debate not based in treaties or resources but is rooted more in the basic connection we share as human beings; a moral obligation that some submit that we hold, where basic liberties should be defended across the world. American Patriots fought and died for liberties unilaterally usurped by what they deemed to be a tyrannical enterprise and when King George ignored the final olive branch war seemed the only sensible tribute to peace in their time. “We hold these truths to be self evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their creator with certain unalienable rights that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness” It is the exportation of these founding ideals that has lead to increasingly dire conflict across generational timelines and across the globe. Leaders inspired by Jefferson’s trying words take cause in their right to fight against their oppressors and like America’s revolution refresh their bourgeoning tree of liberty with the blood of their patriots.
Liberty at all costs; such has been the rallying cry for countless men and women who in rushing towards the cries of freedom have in turn rushed to the sounds of their own demise. Sacrifices vindicated by those countless generations who will not have to fight for liberties won by their forefathers and mothers.
